Planet Comicon Coming Up This Weekend
This weekend the Fund will be set up at Planet Comicon in Kansas City. Planet is the largest pop culture and comic book convention in its area, will be held on Saturday March 27 from 10-5 and Sunday March 28 from 10-4 at the Overland Park International Trade Center, 115th and Metcalf, in Overland Park, Kansas.
Planet Comicon will feature dozens of comic book creators and artists. Don Rosa , a top Walt Disney Duck writer and artist, is internationally known for his work on Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge. Acclaimed writer Steve Niles, the most prolific writer of vampire and horror comics today, is best known for his 30 Days of Night, which has been optioned for a feature film. Bruce Jones is currently writing an incredibly popular run of The Incredible Hulk. Spawn artist Angel Medina, Crisis on Infinite Earths and New Teen Titans and Gene Pool creator Marv Wolfman, Swamp Thing creator Len Wein, and Batman Adventures artist Terry Beatty are just few of the many other creators who will meet with fans and sign autographs.
