WonderCon Strikes San Francisco

This weekend the CBLDF will be attending WonderCon, the California Bay Area’s premiere comics convention. Entering its second year at San Francisco’s Moscone Center, WonderCon boasts an A-List guest roster of Fund supporters including Sergio Aragones, Erik Larsen, Matt Wagner, Greg Rucka, Judd Winick, and Jen Van Meter who will all be signing at the Fund booth over the course of the event.

While at the show, be sure to stop by the CBLDF booth to check out the brand new Savage Dragon tee-shirt, which you can get signed by Erik Larsen on Saturday from 2 – 4 PM. We’ve also brought out a small selection of warehouse find vintage tees by Terry Moore, Frank Miller, and Joseph Michael Linsner. Once these shirts are gone, they’re history.

The Fund will also be active in programming. On Saturday afternoon, CBLDF board member Louise Nemschoff will be hosting “Legal Tool Kit: Basic principles for protecting and exploiting comic book properties,” a nuts and bolts guide to what creators need to know about the legal side of the creative business. On Sunday CBLDF Director Charles Brownstein hosts “Fighting the Fires of Censorship,” an overview on the Fund’s recent work in light of current developments in media regulation and content display laws.
